VEON is a multinational telecommunications and digital service provider, operating in 13 markets across Asia, Africa and Europe; covering around 10% of the world’s population with its 235 million customer base in year 2017.It is headquartered in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and with Jazz as its first telco partner, VEON entered the Pakistani digital communication market in 2017 with a vision to unlock new opportunities. VEON has launched its communication application that allows the sending of messages, videos and photos along with voice and video call features for no charge.
Being the first and only current telco partner for VEON, Jazz took a step towards providing ease and digital advancement to its customer base. Arcana Info helped Jazz integrate its services in the VEON app allowing the users to easily access their billing and usage, etc. from the application rather than having to go to a separate web portal.
Using an open source API management solution we worked as a technology enabler by seamlessly integrating Jazz services within the VEON application. Critical services such as billing and user history were part of the integration, thus, enterprise class API management system was deployed. This ensured ease of communication and access to all Jazz services for its 53 million users.
The VEON app now allows Jazz users to have access to unlimited services directly from the app itself without having to visit any third party website. This integration has now opened the gates of a closed environment to endless digital possibilities for VEON users.
This has also enhanced the overall customer experience to the point that complex digital commands are now just one click away. Through this collaboration, the concept of digital transformation has definitely been revolutionized to a whole new level.
